The youngest of eight children, Karen grew up in an active home in Tottenham Ontario, a small town just outside of Toronto.
Drawn to performing at an early age, Karen received her formal training through the musical theatre program at Sheridan College and after graduation by working with several bands including Glass Tiger and her own 10 piece R&B band Midnight Hour.
A fan of travel, Karen spent the early years of her career touring the world with the Legends In Concert series as Tina Turner while working on the many opportunities that began coming her way in film & television and on stage.
From her first series lead in 1990 on Material World to her most recent role on the prime time series Ransom, Karen has starred in musicals, feature films and a multitude of TV shows.
